Texas Roadhouse Margarita

How to Make Frozen Strawberry Margaritas.

Pretty much all margaritas have a base of tequila, lime juice, and some sort of liqueur. (Triple sec, Grand Marnier, Blue Curacao, etc…)

Tequila is the base of your margarita, so it’s important to get something high-quality. Look to make sure that your label says “100% de agave”. Otherwise, up to 49% of your tequila is actually fermented cane sugar.

The liqueur you choose really comes down to how much alcohol content you prefer in your margaritas. Triple sec is made from the skins of oranges and has anywhere from 15% to 30% alcohol content.

If you like a stronger drink, you can use something like Cointreau, which is 40% alcohol content.

Others prefer the Grand Marnier. Which is a blend of cognac and triple sec.

So in this case, it really depends on your own personal taste. Bartenders choice.

In this recipe, we use a frozen limeade concentrate, which makes this frozen strawberry margarita especially refreshing in the summer.

Plus, all of the frozen ingredients give this drink its’ perfect texture.

And to top it off, we’ll put some salt around the rim. Because no margarita is truly complete without kosher salt on the rim.

Why type of salt is best?

The kind of salt you use with your margarita makes a big difference.

Traditional table salt is clumpy and the taste is a bit overpowering.

Kosher salt looks great on the glass and tastes delicious. Always a good choice.

Sea salt, however, can take your margarita to another level. It looks great on the glass and pairs perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the margarita.
