Ingredients

Here are the simple ingredients that make garlic butter steak bites unforgettable.

  • Steak – Sirloin is my go-to for steak bites. It offers a perfect balance of flavor and tenderness.
  • Sal – It brings out the meat’s natural flavors, making each bite even more delicious.
  • Black pepper – It adds a subtle heat to complement the buttery garlic.
  • Olive oil – It’s key for searing the steak, adding a hint of richness.
  • Butter – It melds with garlic to create a sauce that’s simply out of this world.
  • Garlic cloves – They’re the heart of the dish, infusing every steak bite with aromatic goodness.
  • Fresh parsley – It adds a fresh touch, brightening up the dish.

Recipe Tips and Variations

Elevate your garlic butter steak bites with these simple tweaks and tips.

  • Ditch the jarred garlic. Fresh garlic enhances the dish significantly. Use pre-peeled cloves to save time without sacrificing taste.
  • Select the right steak. For flavor and tenderness, opt for sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak. Trim any excess fat first.
  • Leave it alone. Bring the steak to room temperature 30 minutes before cooking to ensure tenderness.
  • Prep the steak properly. Dry the steak with paper towels before cutting for a better sear and crust formation.
  • Don’t crowd the bites! Cook in batches to ensure proper browning instead of steaming.
  • Keep a watchful eye. Steak bite doneness varies by size. Check the temperature with a thermometer: 125°F for rare, 135°F for medium-rare, etc.
  • Give them a rest. Let steak bites rest post-cooking to keep them juicy and tender.
  • Experiment with flavors. Add herbs like thyme or spices like paprika to the garlic butter for variety.
  • Add extra veggies. Toss in zucchini, bell peppers, or onions after removing the steak. Sauté until crisp, then mix with the steak for extra flavor and color.

How to Store

If you have leftover steak bites (which is unlikely!), follow these steps to store them:

To Store: Store leftovers in an air-tight container and chill in the fridge for up to 3 days.

To Reheat: Warm them up in a skillet on low heat or give them a quick zap in the microwave.

What to Serve with Garlic Butter Steak Bites

You can pair these steak bites with a variety of sides. Here’s what works well:

  • Mashed potatoes – The creamy texture complements the juicy steak bites, absorbing the garlic butter beautifully.
  • Parmesan Roasted Broccoli – Its crispness and slight char add a fresh contrast to the rich, savory steak.
  • Garlic Bread – It’s perfect for scooping up any leftover garlic butter, adding a carb delight to your meal.
  • Rice – A simple bed of rice catches all the flavorful sauce, making each bite a perfect mix.
  • Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms – They bring an earthy flavor that pairs wonderfully with the meatiness of the steak bites.

These garlic butter steak bites are quick, easy, and fabulous! Tender sirloin is cooked to perfection and drizzled with freshly made garlic butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Pat the steak bites dry with a paper towel to ensure they get a nice sear. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil to the pan, ensuring it covers the bottom.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Let them sear for about 2-3 minutes. Then, flip them over to cook on the other side for another 2 minutes or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Remove the steak bites from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute or until it’s fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Return the steak bites to the skillet and stir well to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat and, if desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish. Serve immediately with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You may need to work in batches so you don’t overcrowd the meat.
  • Feel free to add other herbs and spices to the garlic butter, such as thyme, rosemary, or paprika.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steak is cooked to your desired internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for 135°F.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
